Yes, it's very languagey and I've mostly liked stripped down prose lately.

My old housemate's cousin left it at my house. It is my responsibility to give it back to him. It is also one of his favorite books. He keeps leaving me voice mail messages. I keep leaving him voice mail messages. Nothing is ever accomplished. I think I will have it for the rest of my life. His books have saved me from giving up on literature between better ones, but they're all the same story, told by the same narrator, acted out by different characters.

And there's no shame in giving up on books. Remember that there's only so much time before we're dead and underground or in urns with no access to books at Borders for 30% off.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1256348635404703468.post-3692030531854816562008-02-18T01:05:00.000-05:002008-02-18T01:05:00.000-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Tim Dickshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17108326838218032812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1256348635404703468.post-61233723457272896312008-02-18T00:39:00.000-05:002008-02-18T00:39:00.000-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Wigleafhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18394240882822417163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1256348635404703468.post-70065743963167121892008-02-16T03:04:00.000-05:002008-02-16T03:04:00.000-05:00Confederacy of DuncesWomenPost Officeand when you ...Confederacy of Dunces

Women
Post Office

and when you get back around to contemporary fiction:

Apathy & Other Small Victoriestrevorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06171366349881744363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1256348635404703468.post-87777121678333470902008-02-16T02:28:00.000-05:002008-02-16T02:28:00.000-05:00Also, The Man Who Was Thursday by G.K.
