I am going to put my parents in alphabetical order soon they won't know what hit them

Since several people asked about musics, I made a MUXTAPE of some musics, I like the layout and design of muxtape, it makes me want to like music more again. There can be music, this muxtape is a painting of my inner penis, I mention shit and dicks a lot on here, why do I do that. There are babies who listen to music. The Believer music issue is out, my head is on the cover a little, no it isn't, it does say something, Ross Simonini did a good job with their music mix tape that comes with the issue, that is a good idea, Ross Simonini is an excellent musician, I 'believe' him, I saw his band in Atlanta last year, I think it was last year, they were good enough to make one of my friends almost cry, I am going to put one of Tao's BRITNEY SPEARS stickers on Deerhunter/Atlas Sound's tour van, maybe where they won't see it, it will just be there, it has rained every single day since my loft has been opened again, I can't move my bed. That's okay for another minute. I want to eat chocolate rice? Someone should make a website like muxtape for literature somehow, I don't know what would happen, I don't know how that would work, I got tired of doing New Heavy, I am going to make it into something else, I want more interaction with the internet, everything is slow I feel slow. What can I do to make this less slow, what can we do, let's start a press, I have two books in mind that would be great to start a press with, it wouldn't cost that much if we did it together, can we do it together, can we dance like this:

I laid on a $4000 sofa yesterday, I felt like my life could be vastly improved if I could afford and buy the sofa, I would lay on it and feel excited.

I was going to make a list of objects that make me happy by the way the look being pleasing as what as inside, I can't think about it right now, all my shit is still in boxes, one that comes to mind immediately when I think 'aesthetically pleasing' is Miranda Mellis's THE REVISIONIST, I could hold that book and lick it and maybe cry on it but I don't want to get it wet.

I moved the new frame to my bed from the store to my loft yesterday and it started raining the second I left the store, very hard, the frame is wooden and new, it poured torrentially on the boxes all the way until I got to my loft 15 minutes later and dragged them inside in the pouring, they were soaked, as soon as I got inside it stopped raining, almost immediately once I was inside, god is watching, I bet god somedays sets the ends of his beard hairs on fire so he can smell how it smells.

Let's make something happen.

How do you find this shit on YouTube?

Is the Atlas Sound / Deerhunter van just always parked by you or something? Or do they never leave Hotlanta?

my girlfriend lives in a house split into two houses, those guys live in the 2nd house, they make a lot of 'ambient' noise in the afternoons, mostly drums, though mostly they are gone

let's start a press and get r.l. stine to crank out some more goosebumps books.

what commitment is involved in a "press"?

If it is just money, how much.

I may be interested. I dunno.

I watched the girl dancing video with the sound off and played various songs to it. It has a different connotation with each piece of new music i put over it.

this is good. good job.

BLAKE BUTLER said...

i dont know how much really, it would depend on how many involved, a couple hundred a book probably if we had a handful of people interested in getting involved,

ha i like changing the music, i would like to see them dance to something

i am watching icp fans on youtube and can't stop

jereme said...

well let me know if you become "serious"

a couple hundred isn't that much every now and then. it is no big deal.

BLAKE BUTLER said...

jereme, i will let you know as i think more and get serious, or more organized

r.l. stine's like the dude who wrote all the hardy boys shit. it's a composite. it's not one dude. don't kid yourself.

i like the atlas sound stuff. the new record's actually really good. deerhunter to me's a bit more overrated. but they're still better than most of the shit out there.

sam -- that icon's making me want to kick the living shit out of the second bald bull. one? i'm golden every time. bald bull two? i have to stand up when the bull punch comes. the shit gets serious. i'm serious.

deerhunter is one of the worst live bands i've ever seen. or was, back in the day, i haven't seen them since they blew up or whatever, they are probably much different

there are still some 'ok' songs on their first record, the stuff i have heard from the new one microcastles i like more but still yeah, they are very overrated

atlas sound i like much better than deerhunter but still think it is overrated, all sounds the same, not much songwriting, though i like the collaging of textures somewhat i guess

music

it 'could be worse'

BLAKE BUTLER said...

my genre title for them is 'dildo skronk'

Keith Montesano said...

you think you could be any harder on your fellow regional band? man...

atlas sound trumps deerhunter. i still don't think that dude's all that talented or anything. but for ambience wash and whatnot, it's solid. there are too many deerhunter hard-on fans. i didn't even like the first record, if you want to start a fight. and i don't like the second one that much either. you wanna fight about it, blake? i don't even like the second record. yeah, that's right. put the gloves down.

atlas sound is ok though. seriously.

yes, the ex-models. i have that album. before they went all 'double-kick-drum' or something. i saw them in nottingham on that tour. they were really good.

i live in southeast michigan. those icp guggalo bastard douchebags are everywhere. fuck.

good luck with the press. a friend of mine here in ann arbor does a print run of 1000 for his journal and he said it costs him about 3 grand, and the print journal is one of the better ones, content and design.

225 for the isbn, 40 for library of congress registration, plus shipping, distro, and whatever you wanna blow on promo. if you have a bunch of folks you should be in good shape. again. good luck.

DOGZPLOT said...

oh, and rl stine's tities. 45 d's for sure. 45 double d's when she's lactating, i tasted them.

sam pink said...

the second bald bull is hard but one recourse is to just dominate the first two rounds and wait out the third.

BLAKE BUTLER said...

keith, i could be much harder. i am mean. i am trying to be nice. i can be meaner. i am mean.

dogz, yeah i have heard varying costs, who knows what will happen in life

i always sucked at punch out

i dont feel tied to things by location. i dont feel obligated brotherhood. i dont feel i should praise overhyped things because they are in my town. i want to eat overhyped things. i have heard these songs. say something new. say something new.

here is nothing new: i am drunk i am tired

BLAKE BUTLER said...

he is talented for certain kinds of ambience

'i'll stop if you will' is the motto for musicians against music

jereme said...

i like the things blake has written about.

i do not even feel obligation to the country i was born in. that is silly. i am not obligated to do anything.

Deerhunter sucks 45d. We saw them once and walked out after one song.

If the Revisionist makes you happy to hold and squeeze, I got a copy of Il Revisionista? It's even cooler because you can't read it, but leave it to the Italians to do a better job publishing it than I did. I have two copies, as long as you don't slobber all over it maybe I'll send it to you to fondle for a while, but then you'd have to post it to Kenya afterwards?

chris, yes, their first two albums are nice, i dont know what they were thinking went they went noise, they suck at it, the last time i saw them almost everything left because it was so boring, their 'noise,' i think its cause they lost one of the main members and tried to keep going anyway
